I've never tried to make a vortex block for paintballs, but I imagine that if the center of the block wasn't perfectly smooth that it would break the balls. I think it would be better using a cloud design for that gun.

nate_003: Why did you ask this question again?
toadnoodle: a cloud paintball gun would break them so much more, just maybe because they bounce around all over.
c19o: Good for you. If you feel so compelled as to tell us, why not just make one? Ever considered it? And why do you keep posting random crap in every topic you see? Yesterday your post count was at 68, now it's 83. You are turning into what is known as a troll.

Trolls Do I smell troll mm yummy eating trummies are.

Now I agree with noname both of them would break pb's like you wouldn't believe. Note a vortex might work but it woulds have to be completely smooth on all surfaces.

I agree with noname after he mentioned that a cloud would bounce them until they break. I still would like to see if a vortex block would work for this application.

there's an easy way to test this.
If anyone has a good vortex gun and some 6mm paintballs (the hard shell kind for AEGs) could you try this (since I have neither)? or can some one who has tried this or knows some one who has tried tell us

Good idea, except the small ones are sooo much harder to pop than .68 size. I'll still try it though, I can get 6mm PBs for not a huge amount.

Congratulations on digging up a topic with a last post more than a year ago.

As far as your question goes, a marble vortex would work fine if it was made strong enough and had a big enough air supply.

i think it would require an enormous air supply to spray marbles or paintballs, think about it, .177 or 6mm outlet will empty 20oz of co2 in less than 30 seconds, now open up the barrel size to .68 and you could probably empty a 10 pound tank in the same amount of time.

As long as the post is useful it is ok to bump up a year old topic. I don't see any harm in doing that.
A cloud paintball/marble MG would be heavy if you are going to use a lot of ammo. And if you made it out of PVC all the hitting against the sides would make the PVC really weak. It would also make it really noisy

It's been done, if you're willing to accept the limits on firing time and portability.
