~UPDATE~
Stock Finished.
Hey all, got a little something you guys should like. This is a project for school (thats right, I said school, gotta love tech schools) that I'm working on and am nearly finished with, just have a few things that need to be added on.
The gun is an inline vortex made of mostly aluminum, with a few Teflon/Nylon peices.
Specs:
.177 caliber
BB reservoir is 6" long with an ID of 1.625"
Vortex block is machined aluminum, vortex is .56"
Barrel on right now is temporary, need to purchase a POS 10-pump to salvage a barrel from...
The stock is forged aluminum (lucky find), I'll be machining the butt of the stock soon (as you can see in pics its incomplete).
New thing far as I've seen is the quick-disconnect feature I machined for disconnecting the back to fill BB's. The back twists 50 degrees then pulls out, and I'll be putting a lock on the chamber to keep it from accidentally twisting out, even though its somewhat stiff.
(That little peice underneath is gonna be the underslung "grenade" launcher, uses 209 shotgun primers for propulsion, not gonna go any further than that though)
The Allen bolts in there are gonna be replaced with short pins that are flush with the chamber, just using those temporarily.
Barrel threads directly into the vortex block, its very sturdy and accurate.
Forged stock....
As you can see the barrel is pretty stubby, not gonna get much velocity or accuracy with it, just there untill I can get a longer peice.
I'll be adding the front grip, air trigger (will be inside front grip), trigger, trigger connecting rod, "grenade" launcher, and the rest of the stock throughout this week and possibly next if need be, will update with any progress.
And a Red Dot
What do you guys think?

BigBob~ US of A WA state, little ways off from Seattle.
And yah, I got a lathe heh. And a Mill, and a CNC mill, and a CNC lathe, and lots of other goodies
LOL, you could say that, probably tamest peice I've done in a year lol
Ohh and forgot to mention that I'm putting in a feed plate too, just gotta find an acceptable spring.

(depending on the diameter of your chamber) I would suggest bed/couch-cushion springs, they are usually long enough (if not you could always braise a couple together) and have moderate resistance..making it perfect for bbmg's...Spudinator wrote:Ohh and forgot to mention that I'm putting in a feed plate too, just gotta find an acceptable spring.

So i hope HP (high pressure) is going into this. Looks like BTB has some competition
But its nice gun especially the machining. Wish i had those toys as i will call it. Would make spudding alot easier for me

The HighP version is next, gonna be running dual barrel/vortex and all alum construction but smaller chamber volume for quick response (and save on ammo consumption lol).
STHORNE~ Thats a great idea never thought of that, thanks! I'll have to look for some old POS furniture for salvage...
