Paging Draculon to the black courtesy phone please, Draculon to the black courtesy phone.
Stupid quote of the now:
joestue "The chamber is rated to 100 psi, it don't say that on the side, but the 2 inch stuff is rated to 300, so by analogy..."
"only the last two feet hear the end is black cellular core"
"I'm taking it to 300 psi"

If you want metal, go with Dethklok. They are, by far, the best metal band out today.
That's the funniest thing I've read all week. Thanks, JSR.JSR wrote:what about these?
Haha. No.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:what about these?

Damn JSR...I got the same kind of idea when I read the title.
I was gonna say...
Try a hose clamp...They are the best because they're adjustable!
Basically the same kind of joke...
I used to listen to Panthera, Sepultura, Obituary..Morbid Angel, Slayer ( less, but still) well..Metallica, before the black album.Cannibal Corpse...some of it at least.
Real old school stuff by now

Brian, old school bands are the best, theres very few new bands that can hold a candle...or flaming torch (as were talking about metal ) to any of the old bands.
ALL music eventually becomes "old school" so that reason disqualifies it as a negative. If you like it, stick with it unapologetically until you get tired of it.
Having been associated with the music industry for some time and a huge music fan for many years, I can tell you that the real musicianship, composition and poetic genius over the last few years has all but died! Every now and then I see a decent band/artist make a splash (Coldplay of late, but even they aren't spring chickens) but for the most part, the stuff being foisted at us is vacant, largely talentless crap.
It's no wonder you have the likes of Eric Clapton and Def Leppard still selling out around the world.

In flames and of course Slayer.

Well that goes without saying. Many of the metal bands you guys mention here have the same affliction...just shred shred shred and the same growl throat scream "singing"...and honestly, pretty hard to listen to for very long. I'm no musical prude believe me...it's just something you grow out of eventually...potatoflinger wrote:Sounds a lot like rap to mestarman wrote:... but for the most part, the stuff being foisted at us is vacant, largely talentless crap.
The pop/rock sound too is mostly just repackaged Nirvana/Creed. It's starting to move away from it some but slowly.
