Hi :shock:
Im new to this forum, but not new to airsoft. And on that note I have to that this is awesome. In fact dripping in awesomeness. However I do have a question about the bbmg. Is it meant for back yard plinking or for airsoft use?

Sorry davidvaini I missed your posts. Looks like I should just go with a 12 gram instead of a big 12 oz or something.

@vlade
I have one as well check it out. Running on my air compressor I was getting about 50 feet with grouping of about 2-3 feet, at 110 psi with .2 bb's. If I had to guess I'm getting about 200 fps with this. So err you could use this for airsoft if you used co2.

Here you go http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/magazin ... 16205.html I won't be getting any more pictures or a video until I get some respectable pressure (c02 inflater).

Vlade,
Some bbmg's over here are too powerful for airsoft, but when limiting the power, then you can use bbmg's in airsoft games.
Bad side is the great inefficiency of air: it wastes alot of air every shot, and for portability in the field, one would need alot of CO2, which may get expensive.
Also the CO2 may freeze up the gun.
Till the day I'm dieing, I'll keep them spuddies flying, 'cause I can!

@psycix
Thats true about most bbmgs being to powerful for airsoft use. But Davidvainis fall right into the niche (give or take a 100 fps) for airsoft use.
As for portability, smaller guns ( i.e. M16s, MP5s, Aks, and anything else ) would need to use smaller air sources. But anything bigger like Browning .50 cals, Barret rifles, pseudo grenade launchers could possibly benefit form this. Now im too new at the bbmg scene and don't know much of anything on here, that includes air sources. So I guess ill start doing my research on them. And as for freezing up C02, would an expansion chamber help?

I been wanting to comment on this idea along time ago but never got around to it.. so lazy :D
I remember I had an idea simmilar to this a while back but I never actualy followed through, nice to see someone who did, But would this be more simmilar to classic airsoft replicas (pre aegs) because of the design of the bb being pusshed by air with a "T" style set up?

@young

Airsoft aegs today use these units. They're called hop up units one port for a magazine one for the barrel and one for air feed or what ever aegs use to propel bb's. Are you talking about spring airsoft guns with the pre aeg thing?

Yes I know what airsoft is, if you want (I hope this doesnt go against an advertisng rule) but I am more active in airsoft-barracks.com forum.
I am talking PRE Tokyo marui as in Before the 1990's when electric airsoft began, google Classic airsoft guns and you will see
-----edit----
as in before metal gearboxes (or gearboxes in general)

Hey Davidvaini,

When are we going to get your gun firing because I've checked out your videos and you only got the "BBMG Pistol Holster Test" thingo on there. I need some inspiration again lol.
It's Nerf or Nothing.

Don't start crying when I play this as my hobby, Paintball, Airsoft and Nerf are equally good hobbies, except you can play Nerf in public. Good day! Hmph!

since you linked this to the other thread (about the "uprade") basicaly you have to do is have a hop up unit (1 peice) and have a flow of pressuized air behind the bb (also maybe a mag well) Correct? (like a classic airsoft gun) and a bucking (hard)

quick question.. I have tried just loading a fully loaded TM standard and pushing my hop up well on it with the hop up unit all there and the bbs just spill out (even with the hop up fully engaged) how did you manage to make yours?

What you've just accomplished is loading part. You need to put a line of pressurized air into the rear socket.If you need some pictures visit this link

I've tried using my old classic army hop up chamber, anyways in an aeg there is a air nozzle that blocks the bb that helps it feed (along with the taplet plate), but I tried puting a line of pressurized air and my midcap just spews all the bbs out of the barrel either way

Is your hopup a 2 part hopup or a 1 part hopup? meaning does it have a feeding tube that the magazine loads the BBs? You need to have a tire valve shoved into the back where the nozle would normally be...
