the launcher is made out of a film canister, a pen tube, two thumb tacks and a bbq lighter...and is held together with electricians tape and

You could measure your barrel and see if other projectiles fit, such as bb's or pellets. In experience I've found nails aren't the best ammo. Still pretty good
