ok my friend and i just finished the perfect piece of ammunition. At like 40 psi it broke both of saw horses i used to hold a piece of wood up (at seperate times we kept missing because i pull the ball valve to hard) But its like a weight bar from like a free weight set with some duct tape and a foam golf ball. great for 1.5" barrel

EDIT: i also destroyed a cinder block to the ground with crumbling into tiny pieces

If you were to take a grinder to the end and sharpen it up that should be able to cause even more damage

four letters: OMFG. must get a lot of recoil with that beast. love the little smily face. Get any distance with that? or is it more like a shotgun; close range and powerful?
i got connections with the modfia, watch who ur talkin to noob.

i actually get very little recoil with it. The distance at like 50psi is about 100 plus yards i would never go long distance with that where i live because i live by a lot of houses.

mate, if you used that in a decent sised cannon with a modified sprinkler valve or a piston valve, the recoil would knock you off your feet, seriously, use a better valve than a ball valve.

i have a pretty big cannon. Im going to try to get a sprinkler valve from my freinds dad (grounds manager golf course) for free. Right now i think ball valve is fine. This thing gets like no kick at all on my pneumatic. It tears through 4 pieces of plywood or a cinder block. this is my cannon just to show u how big it is

very nice ammunition :) . ive made ammunition like that before, but not with metal or bolts and such. i agree with the others, try using a sprinkler valve on a future cannon if you can. i would say go with a piston but i have never made one, so i don't really know how effective they can be.

Okay, loved the idea, so I made one, launched it out of my Pneu.
OMG, that was awsome!!!!!!!!!

But I had to take it one step further.
I made a big one and put it in one of my brothers guns...
My brother makes pumpkin chuckers.
Happy Day.

It was his smallest one, it has a 6" barrel, (I still wonder where he got that... maybe mcmaster?)
Put it up to 100psi.
VERY Happy Day.

That thing went through 4 cinder blocks from 20 feet.

This was like, one of my "hallelujah" moments.

Dude, you came up with the best ammo ever.
Seriously...

that is awesome, it still amazes me how powerful a spud gun can be even with such low pressure.

jleemero, you gonna get us pics of these bad boys? Were not vegatist against pumpkins. (Racist-Race=ist Vegatable-table=vega vega+t+ist=vegatist)

I dont think he would have ordered from McMaster, rather most specalized plumbing stores carry up to 24" PVC sometimes. I once saw what I think was a 24" tee ordered when I was getting some 2" sch 80, and that thing was simply huge! So if you could post some pics of the different cannons, that would be cool.
