Well a shrader valve has 2 parts the valve core and the valve casing (the body with the thread on it) if you look at the shrader from the top where you fill it there is a pin in the middle of the casing, that pin is the top of the valve itself and can be unscrewed , its really basic :?

the reason i said maybe replace the core is that im doubtfull uve bent the casing..

are you following????

if not someone elese might be able to explane...

If you look at the picture that ive added you can see the valve casing and inside this is the valve - this will be the problem, the rubber seal will have gone. It scews out anti-clockwise (common thread), you should be able to see if the rubbers ok, sometimes it needs a clean up or just simply replace it with another one out of a tire.

You may need a special key to take the valve out, although they are very simple to find - long thin nosed pliers may work aswell

Very simple to find, they have all different tools on the side of them to remove the valve and clean up all of the threads

if you want to use a drinks bottle as a pressure vessel you could just fibre wrap it.

Then epoxy the relevant fitting to the bottle at the base to take a schrader and then another fitting to the top... simple!

So if you havent mounted it in the bottle cap like you said earlier, how would you be able to check if it was leaking??

I think your crazy dude, its like saying your sealing face on your piston cannon is leaking,so rather than change the sealing face you make a hole new piston..and besides it saves you all the effort of stripping a new shrader valve, but whatever floats your boat :D

as for the duct tape i recon thats a useless idea, duct tape stretches really easily.
you really need fibre tape to add the extra strenght, you can buy it for like 2-3 dollars,it looks exactly like duct tape except it has white string in a checker pattern running through it.

and really if you where to cover the bottle in tape how would you be able to see the stress marks on the bottle from continually filling it??
rather than just a nosebleed you might have a nice sensation of ringing in the ear when your bottle explodes

kk i guess i didnt explain myself enough

so i drilled a hole that is like just fit, if not smaller for the schrader valve, and i have to use a alot of force to get it into the bottle cap

the schrader valve inside the cap already is a good seal because it is tight as hell

but like i said

when i squeeze the bottle air comes out from the schrader valve

if i get my finger and block the shrader valve hole, air will not escape when squeezing the 2L bottle

therefore, the schrader valve leaks

Hmm you could epoxy pipe to the bottle neck thread a tee on an thread a schrader in on one side. If not Epoxy ftw.
Yeah, it's that important.
