I have finally came to a decision to finish the build of an inline normally no fancy trick since this is still my first gun technically

just a regular inline vortex with the blow gun in the front and a spring pushing the bb's back to the vortex block

my chamber is a 1.5" ABS DWV pipe

for the vortex block, i was wondering..

how thick should it be, and how long and the vortex hole should be 3/4" big

and for the barrel, mine is a random alluminum barrel from the dollar store, it is from one of those window curtain poles

i was just wondering what kind of barrel i can get from
www.homedepot.ca

thank you guys and sorry for all the trouble and posts i've made on this forum

Granted this isn't an example of an inline, it certainly helped me understand how they work

This part doesn't add up...

A 1 1/2" ABS chamber sounds fine. For a barrel you just want to get whatever fits the tightest. My local Ace hardware sells 9/32" brakeline, which is a great fit for BBs. I've never seen it at Home Depot before.
For a vortex block, you probably want material somewhere around 1/2" to 3/4" thick. Look into some HDPE sheet at a plastics store, or just hack up and old cutting board; it's the same stuff. A vortex hole 3/4" in diameter will work fine but you will need shrouds so it doesn't jam. Length doesn't matter at all, you just need it long enough to have part of your barrel in the block.

http://www.spudfiles.com/spud_wiki/imag ... final2.gif

and btw about the vortex block

i plan to make a mold and make the block from it because i have these really weak wood at home and i plan to make this permanent if i get this to work

what could i use to mold this block from www.homedepot.ca

from jmadden he gave me that link and they used bondo to make the vortex block but i dont see it at homedepot

what could be an alternative hopefully no more than 10 bucks

ima use a ruler this time and line up my vortex block barrel and air input

btw i use a 1/8" brass nipple for my blow gun, does the brass nipple have to screw into the vortex block as well?

Read my previous post again.

No, the brass nipple doesn't have to screw into the vortex block, but it should be a tight fit, preferably sealed for best performance.

I mean sealed like air won't come out the sides of the block instead on the inlet hole.

Full circle for a 1 1/2" chamber.

Before you start building, realize that it is very hard to get a barrel perfectly centered in an inline vortex. Don't get frustrated if it ends up low in the pipe.

I guarantee you can find a cutting board that's 1/2" or 5/8" thick. That would work perfectly.

Most at Goodwill are 1/2 inch. If you are lucky a better quality one is found. :) Some are even thinner. :(

I had to go elsewhere for the thick stuff. It was US $3.75/lb.
