I just built a browning 1919 copy. I mounted an aeg gearbox inside. I have a 30 cal. ammo can mounted on the side that I would like to use as to hold the bbs. Can anyone advise me as to a feed mechanizim? Thanks

What do you mean by mounted an AEG gearbox inside? How much of the mechanism is there? Pictures would be helpful.

You came to the right place for advice. Welcome to Spudfiles :)

Thanks rcman, I bought a gearbox on ebay. It is a motor driven gearbox activating a spring loaded piston. The bbs are fed through a tube opening in front, like a sub machine gun(m3, mp-40). It looks like it was in a gun that was magazine fed. It is operated by an electrical switch. Sorry, I can't send pictures. It seems like it would work if I could figure out how to drive the bbs from the ammo can through a tube connected to the gun. I am new to the airsoft/bbmg arena. I have been doing research but can't find anyone doing the same thing.

I built one from a demilled gun.

You can get the ammo can from IMA, it hangs off the feed pawl bracket.

Internally it is just a star 249 gearbox, a bearing mirco switch with a SPDT auto relay to take the load off the trigger switch.
Image

The gearbox also powers the Servo which spins a Hi-cap that is slightly angled in the box mag. There is another box inside the box mag. It is just a cutdown radio shack project box in which the hicap internals are velcroed to. (Velcro because with an opening that big to dump in ammo, other debris make ther way in so cleaning after an event is a priority.)
Image

There is also a primer switch on the box mag so the mag can prime the gun, and wind the hicap. The primer switch gets power from the 9v battery ontop of the servo. (Again velcro)

Side note: The 1919a4 is mounted on a Mk1 Emergency Responce Tripod. I also built a M2 tripod and a M3 tripod. (Sitting on the M3 in the pic below.)
