I'm gonna have to agree with you there...we Americans seem to like the massive cannons (VERA as an example lol) more than the beautifully crafted rifles, etc...He's not American either... maybe it's a European thing

The french spudders, or even the european spudders for that matter don't have a plethora of hardware stores in plumbing supplies in their regions (most of the time) so usually there parts are much more expensive. If you had to spend in upwards of 150$ on a project you'd want it to look goodI don't know if I am the only person who has noticed it but quite a lot of french spudguns look better than the rest

ohh really ? I heard that they suck lol sorry I couldn't resist (besides it's PUI )The spudders from Sweden also create some extremely nice pieces
you can easily convert it into a semi auto, have a look herethe breech operated manually

lol I'd say it's exactly the opposite... sure PVC might be more popular in the USA but it seems that you've got some serious problems with anything else than thatThe french spudders, or even the european spudders for that matter don't have a plethora of hardware stores in plumbing supplies in their regions

Perhaps you should amend your statement to read.... SOME Americans don't have the patience to make something look real nice...or even wait for the glue to dry.maverik94 wrote: we Americans don't have the patience to make something look real nice...we just wanna see if it works.

@jules
do you have a fridge compressor?
I think that French and some European (lol not mine) guns look better becasue they are smallbore, which makes sense if you take into consideration our gun laws.SOME Americans don't have the patience to make something look real nice...or even wait for the glue to dry
Americans prefer large bore guns which are, surprise surprise - larger and heavier.
If you've got a 3" PVC spudgun it's not the best idea to spend hours to TIG weld a nice all steel stock for it or front grips
If you want more power you just build a larger gun, while here we normally up the pressure since we can afford it thx to metal fittings & pipes
I'd say that different countries use different materials and people normally use whatever is used locally. Here malleable iron fittings and pipes are commonly used for plumbing so they are cheaper and easier to get. I presume that in the UK copper is more popular since quite a lot of spudguns from the UK are copper guns.

Excellent craftsmanship there, and I admire the work ethic required to follow such a project through to completion. It's not the style of build I'm interested in, but it's an impressive effort and must be pretty entertaining to use.
I second the comment on the pistol grip though, and some form of casing for the front section may further improve aesthetics. How's the performance?

i dont think he is useing it as semi, you can get them on ebay
but 1/2 inch is huge, thats what you would use to pilot like a 2 inch valve

the final layout is very much like i want to build.
can we have so more spec's like diameter of the QEV and slide valve and so on? and chamber size? C:B (chamber to barrel) ratio? any chance of a damage video or pictures?
EDIT: sorry for bumping the thread BTW.
