Dear Matt,

How is your yellow can of mapp gas? I hear you are very fond of it. Is it a bright can or a sort of off yellow can. I wonder if it is a big can or not, I would presume it to be in between; not big like a scuba tank but not small like a soda bulb either. Please reply because I think everyone is really interested to hear about your yellow can of mapp gas.

Yours sincerely,
Jolly Roger

Wtf, that's funny.

anyway, mapp gas has been used, and as far as I know,It is not terribly more powerful than propane. but with oxygen, it is more powerful.

Mapp gas is slightly more powerful than propane, but i doubt you would notice it unless your measuring the muzzle velocity. Burnt Latke tested both propane and mapp gas and here are the results:

Propylene is a really good one. They use it in welding applications. It has a higher max flame temp then propane, slightly less than MAPP gas but it has a higher heat distribution than both which means more pressure and bigger bang. It is a type of LPG so being in liquid form bottles can hold alot more than propane or MAPP gas - more shots.

most people shoot their spudguns in a row,i dont do one shot and put it back in the closet, you just need to air it out for 1min if you dont have a fan or 10sec if you do.
