And with that said - Yes I do have a golden project planned - in fact I didnt even plan on ever finishing this gun up with a stand after the project died last winter... At least it's got a stand now and its working out as a nice test bed for some future ideas...

Hey! That looks like it lines up! (good enough to get it hand tight without any binding!)
I took the liberty of facing down the conical sealing face and putting a nice bevel on it then sanding it with high grit sandpaper - came out nice and smooth
but I do seem to be blessed with a properly sealing conical faced union - mind you when we used these same unions on a job for a large water demineralizing system for a power plant we needed 3foot pipe wrenches to get them to seal under 300psi of water lol! Lucky me i get to use stuff like a thin layer of silicone sealing on the chamber side to help alleviate the torque needed down to a 1foot pipe wrench.
