graphite or aluminum? best for chrome bearings5.6mm 7/32&

I'm using an easton jazz aluminium arrow blank as my barrel, 1916 is the arrow size. I have read some people use graphite hmm or is it carbon fibre? Not sure now. Anyway wouldn't the internal surface be undressed? Maybe it was carbon fiber. Which is better? I'm using 5.6mm chrome steel balls. I also use a rare earth magnet on the topside of the barrell. I have moved it around and found that it shoots frigging straight on top. Without it I get what seems to be bottom spin oddly.. shots stray high, when the magnets are on either side I get hook or slice depending on the side I put it.. How accurate can I expect it to be? I'm already getting 15mm groups@ 10m is that good or average?

5.6mm balls in a 6mm barrel is a golfball in a drainpipe, you have no idea which direction it is going to point when it exits the muzzle.

Try to find 6mm balls and you will see groups tighten up considerably.

OK so just found vxb do 1000 6mm $39.95aus depends how much you want to pay for postage.. they offer next day delivery. Was only looking in imperialpart. (Imperial must die) So this shouldn't be to tight? Or do I need it that tight for real performance? When I get the balls which is best.. carbon or alum?

Yup... the tighter the balls, the better

Aluminium, carbon fibre will get eaten away pretty quickly.

Buy a steel airsoft barrel online, despite what everyone says, if it's declared as 6.03 precision tubing, then customs can't do a thing.

Don't bother with a hop up on it, it won't last too long, and it's hard to put enough backspin on a 0.88g BB, even .43s take a lot to get spinning.

Here's a cheap enough source of steel BBs, and they're coated so it'll wear the barrel down a little bit less. Plenty of other sizes too.

Ahh thank you kind sirs. Most enlightened. Was getting a little soft on it hearing "golf balls down drain pipes" Got my raging semi back again. I have found that the search makes the finding more satisfying. Although only small calidre I hope to go someway to impressing myself if not the projectile over loards with my next build (stnc qev qv-08 supply press) full ood stock bullpup style.
The design obviously nothing new just taking my time on build puality I can feel my balls tightening already

Tighter balls not only mean better accuracy but better performance too, as less gas flows past them in the barrel. You will be surprised what a difference even 0.5mm makes.

The key to good performance in small calibres is pressure. With low pressure, even a long barrel, large chamber and fast valve will still give you mediocre velocities, so aim for at least 300-400 psi.

Got some 6mm balls today, local hunting store had 1/4in $15.95/250 exact. Mmmm snug as. Level my barrel then gave it 2 degrees ball rolled nicely down didn't catch or nothing!! Removed magnet... jizz in my pants... oops meant yeah it worked Should I post my barrel set up as new topic? I know some Aussies have trouble finding good quality usable barrels. The way I have it set up is easily replacable , sleeved once or twice depending and cost under $20aus for the lot one cut nd epoxy nd your ready to roll. 10xblank $75 (I have 8 left

Away crap.. my bad! Google "Easton jazz shafts" should net better result. Sorry for miss-information. Don't know how to add links They have them in the USA that much I do know. The company is actually just called EASTON. I think "elite" is a range of products ie my bike was made of Easton elite alum. Or they rebranded in the last 10yrs.
