Lol my dad helped me build my first pneumatic cannon and he thinks it is cool.

Well my parents are all cool about my guns better then playing a gamestation my dad says and alot mroe rewarding but he did ban me using my new gun in town as it to powerful and to loud.So i havent been able to fully test it yet

Man some people are so naive, people who don't know anything about them but think that they do and think that the people who actually do know a little about them are idiots.

Far, far, far too true.

I know tonnes about just about every type of launcher, I've done firearms safety at my local army cadets, so I know how to be safe with things that project other things at high speed, and still, I'm not allowed to build combustions - and some pneumatics are off limits as well.

I could understand hesistance about hybrids - hell, I'm hesistant about messing with pressurized mixes in a perfect fuel-air ratio.

But, stopping me building a simple combustion is silly.

I don't think they'd stop me building a magnetics-based launcher though - wonder why.

my dad did'nt want me to build one and my mom did'nt care so when they went to a party and i stayed home i rode my bike to them plumbing store and got the parts. i came home and made it and i hid it in my closet until the glue dry then i took it to the woods by my house to shoot it.

The first cannon i did make, my parents wouldn't like what it was about, but they said that ingeniosity is always good...So, even if they dont like the idea of a marble going past 800 ft/ s, they like the research behind every cannon.

The first cannon i made blew up because i put a potato in the end, unsrewed the cap and stuck a bottle with dry ice in it into the chamber. I thought the bottle would explode and launch the potato but the whole thing blew up. I have a 2in deep hole in the side of my garage from a piece of pvc. My dad got pretty mad and said I couldn't build them again. finally after about a year i talked him into letting me make another.

tinkering away in the shed (as ya do), i load it, then charge it....then go get a beer out of the fridge

now im back in the shed a little sidetracked, so then i start lifting it out of the vice...i say to myself "hey... is it leaking?" as i wave my hand near the muzzle, then i turn away from the vice and farking BANG!... i diddnt know what happened then i see the top of a nice shiny little sphere embedded in mi hand, i go "hey wtf??"

the marble was in bedded in my hand and against the bone, accomplished at 50psi somehow. as i turned from the vice the trigger hit the bench.

i ended up with a fractured right index finger and 7 stitches.

hmm i wonder what my dad was thinking when he saw my hand, lol

but mi dad jus said dont do it again and was kool about teh gun.

The first time I shot my pnuematic, I blew a hole straight throughboth sides of the shed and the fence. M y dad looked at me and said, "Can I shoot it?"

My mom is fine with them exept for my big combustion (big by my standards) It is really freakin loud and she just doesn't want the cops to get called

my parents generally dont care, but I usually dont tell my dad about my projects. He tries to take over the project and then complains when I tell him I want to do it by myself.

My mom just shakes her head and walks away.
I had a video of me shooting a homemade shotgun on the porch while my mom was sweeping, she was facing the other way and didnt see what I was doing until the gun went off.
She just jumped and dropped the broom, didnt say anything and went back to sweeping.

well, im "hiding" a cannon with a 16 foot barrel, a 10 foot chamber that has 11 foot wings..... my parents dont care.
