Okay, I'm in the process of building my first propane metered combustion gun. I'm curious as to everyones preference when it comes to Ignitors for your gun, the four major ones that I have heard of are

1. The well know BBQ peizo ignitor, from my expeirence works ok, but is prone to not spark everytime you want it to.

2. Coleman lantern ignitor, fairly dependable, but only lasts for so long

3. Taser gun ignition, never had expeirence with one personaly, I hear that they are very dependable, but illegal in some states?

4. Camera flash ignitor, also fairly dependable but slightly indepth to build

So, how bout y'all, is this all you guys know about, or are there others I'm missing/forgetting? what do you thing of the different setups?

Also, I know that propane companies sell an after market electronic ignitor to replace the peizo on space heater and fireplaces that runs on a single AAA battery, I've looked all over the net and can't find them does anyone know where to get them? the local propane company sells them at what I'm hoping is a very marked up price of $25 or $30

Camera flash makes a very nice spark but can be *twitchy* at best, they're not as reliable as they sound and they hurt when you get shocked. From what I've heard you can use "Stungun Circuitry" on your cannon regardless of your state, basically have someboyd in a legal state buy it for you then ship you the circuits without the case. I'm not responsible if you get in trouble in any way.

BBQ ignighter works fine for me, if you set it up good it will last for years.
And even if it does brake its cheap to replace
