@Bluetooth. I know that the cap will still be holding the pressure, I'll explain what I meant better. You can't use soda bottles (which are safer to a higher pressure) becaues the cap screws on too far. By the time you have the cap loose enough to come off, the seal has been broken too long, and all the air has escaped. By puting a cork in first, the longer cork will be sealing and keeping the air in, and the bottle lid will be just be holding the cork in. When the cap is loose enough to come off, the cork will still be sealing the bottle, and will throw both itself and the lid off with a loud POW!

It was cool but I added way to much fuel. I'll try again tomorow night with a milk jug.

Are you sure you used too much fuel? If you had used less you would have gotten a POP and a blue flame for less than half a second. For fireballs, you want lots of fuel so that there is unburnt gas in the middle, making the fireball last longer.

Check these fire pictures out! Its a clear plastic sphere with the threads of a coke bottle. Some of the pics are with a lid with a small hole, the others are of it with no lid. And yes I filmed it (these are scrrengrabs) and triggered it so I had to hold it between my knees.

Hahahahah! The hole was big enough, I could partially crush the plastic and fire it, it didn't generate much pressure.

I did that with a 5 liter bottle that is around 5 quarts. Any ways I got a few not so "empty" airsole hair spray cans and sprayed the butane in to it holding the bottle upside down because butane is light the normal air.
Well I spray for about 10 seconds (I dont remember exactly) An toss a match that thing 3ft from me shot a flame out that burnt my eyebrows I was eyebrowless for a few days.

Well actually butane is about twice as heavy as air, so the gas was flowing onto the floor in your little 'experiment' and thats probably why the flame was so big.

This is something I made once in my spare time, a bottle noise maker involving just a bottle and a balloon. Cut the bottom of the bottle off so about 1/2 to 2/3 is left, then stretch the neck of the ballon over the neck of the bottle and stuff the balloon through the bottle. Inflate the balloon and it will expand out the bottom of the bottle, then twist it just enough for so the neck of the balloon is just slightly open, when you blow in or out it will cause the samll hole to vibrate making a really loud airhorn noise, you can fill it then let it deflate and make noise.

Sorry, but it's a little hard to explain. It's kinda ike when you stretch the neck but its twisted instead.
