This is just a question and i dont mean to insult anyone or piss anyone off. But why is it called the mini gun? What was the reasoning behind the naming of this beast?
Thanks

or maybe it is mounted on a pick up like a minigun with somebody behind it to operate it, like a army landrover, come to think of it, is it legal to mount a spud gun on a car or a replica of a minigun without shooting it? but with moving parts to be menacing and scary, can that be "interperated" as a threat if you point it at somebody? what if it had a sign on it that says "this is fake"?

Now that it's been mentioned, a swivel base in the back of a truck would be pretty sweet for scenario paintball.....

Holy $hit! Im sorry for kicking, but i read all these posts and wonder if anyone reads! Someone said the barrel is 4.5" long! It is 3' long genius!
8) Just you guys wait 'till i post pictures of my latest creation.
1.5mm thick stainless steel tube as the chamber- 220mm long, (useful length, the end plugs intrude 35mm in total) outside diameter 101mm, inside diameter was 98.5mm before I made a Polyurethane insert (to help minimise loss of heat due to the nature of the stainless and also to deaden the sound.) , it is now 90mm.
I made a Nylon (6 S.A.) end plug to produce a press fit into the steel
(approx .3mm larger than the i.d.), and fastened it with 6 equi spaced and tapped holes of 4mm using 304 stainless slot head screws.
Into the end plug is a tapped 50mm hole (M.D. 53.8mm, Pitch 3mm, Depth 17mm).
The ignitor is a two piece deal (Quite cool if I may say so myself) the body was made from L.F.X Nylon, a kind of self lubricating Polymer ( I think the L.F. stands for Liquid Filled) so the thread should last until i'm pushin up daises .......... more later...
