ok heavy metal?
its insanely hard to put natural gas in a certain direction, and it doesn't just come in a cheap little spray can
it comes in huge things that are used to heat houses.
its not good to use
The cheapest fuel

Alright I was just curious I might have thought it would have been easier if you had a natural gas BBQ
if it doesn't involve a loud bang it isn't powerful enough

Welcome to the forums.superpapa wrote:can i use lp gas
First of all, most of the "nice" combustion guns around here use propane (or LP gas, short for liquid propane) or MAPP gas (a gas similar to propane, used for welding, burns 10-15% hotter than propane).
Propane is, in my opinion, the best combustion gun fuel because it's cheap, easy to get, clean burning, and powerful. However, propane (and MAPP) are really only effective when you build a meter system (to meter out the correct amount of gas each time, eliminating guess work).
Check out the Combustion Cannon Discussion and Showcase, you'll see lots of guns with propane meters. Here's mine: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtop ... 666
PS - if you look around or use the Search tool before asking a question, you can frequently find the answer without posting.

it depends on what it is made out of. but if it is a thick enough it wont. what did u make it out of?newkidspudster wrote:Dude i use hair spray in my mini i think other fules might be to powerful for it its so tiny i dont want to break it.Will it break with more powerful fule?
I have a question, How much performance decrease do I get with starter fluid that uses co2 instead of propane or butane for a propelant. I still get
100+yard shot using it but it is all they had at the time I was in a hury and you can't beat the price 99 cents for aa can about the size of a soda can but a little smaller around and twice as tall. I can't recall the size but I think it was somthing 600ml. will I get alot better berformanc with different starter fluid. I am going to use propane, not metered but right now I cant find the torch hed it has been about 4 months since I have seen it. when I was testing my gun around the house with axe or propane shooting a sock it was f@$#ing loud but when I finally went ou to shot it in the desert with starer fluid it was pretty quit kinda like a loud woosh in stead of a deafaning BOOM. does anyone know where to get starter fluid with propane or a similar propelant. the can on mine says co2 and ether are the only ingriedents

I think you could use a pressure proof tank (hardware store) and a normal gas tank (from a gas heater or from a barbecue for ex.); then just use some copper pipes, a compressed air regulator and a manometer to connect the two tank each other to refill the smallest one. Obviously don't go beyond the pressure limit!crsaz wrote:does anyone know where to get starter fluid with propane or a similar propelant.
