no its more like a bulky bb shower device like the under barrel grenade launcher bb shower device, at least it's more powerful and cheaper, unless you are trying to shoot straight a normal barrel filled with bbs and a sabot would do fine, you better have another barrel, or else its just a waste,

not a very efficient use of power, you´d have been better off with a 1" barrel and the BBs loaded into a wad - it would be easier to reload too.
