It's simply astonishing that someone would do something like that. What really throws me for a loop though is that the only action the school took after the first shooting was to send out an email warning students to be careful due to an unfortunate event. Why wasn't the campus locked down? Why wasn't a large security detail called out to systematically search buildings and students? An email is not a sufficient response to a shooting in which two people died. Had the school taken a more drastic and immediate action, 30 lives may have been saved. The friends and families of 30 students may have been spared the heartache and grief of losing a loved one.

In my opinion, the school administrators who chose not to take further action after the first shooting bear some of the responsibility for the bloodshed. By their inaction, they dipped their hands in the blood of the students lost in the second shooting.

But if he killed someone then bb guns may have been illegalized.

 and what about guns? laws can't be changed according to guns?

The guns the shooter received were obtained illegaly, the serial numbers were ground off. stricter gun laws would not have stopped this. I think this is one of those rare cases where, honestly, theres nothing to actually prevent this from happening in the future............. besides strip-searching everyone that enters any public area.

I'm stl in shock that all the college did was send an email. That's so incredibly stupid.

EDIT: Oh look, I'm a major. When did that happen?

If you like them as targets then why post them in the things that piss you off thread?
