hey all this is my burst disk cannon. i jsut made it today when i was at my freinds and i saw a 1 inch union... i asked if i could have it he said sure.. so i built a cannon around it..it is kinda ghetto but not alot. the onyl burst disks ive used so far are foil, does anyone know any good burst disks that usually burst at about 120-130 psi?? or higher so i can activate it with a pin in the back of my ammo..i would just drop it in the barrel and yay! it goes off. well enjoy and thanks if u suggest burst disks!!

sorry for bad pics it is dark in my room.. ill have damage and more results tomorrow with better pics!

oh and btw the specs

chamber: 1.5"x6"
barrel: 1"x(something near 2.5 feet)
valve: uniopn burst disk

I couldn't get milk jug plastic to burst, even at 150 psi. And there's no way in hell the ammo is going to be able to pop the disc at that angle.

And just so you know, you're union is leaking like hell unless you put a couple gaskets on, so if you didn't, get a couple.

i know.. that wasnt really for legs but it worked out.. i just made it from all the parts i had and it ended up like that.. notice how i used a ball valve with no handle for the 1/2 coupler

Rather than simply using aluminum foil for the burst disc you could use disposable aluminum baking or roasting pan foil... Most discount stores sell sets of them for about a dollar... It's halfway between aluminum foil and aluminum can in weight...

Milk jug plastic is way too tough to use for burst discs...
