Primer IS necessary. without it your pvc does not get soft. then the joint becomes weaker.

no isn't that stuff for threads and similar to tflon paste, NEVER that is crap because of all that comercail crap the can misleads you into thinking its a good glue, its not its goo not glue it doesn't even dry It's messy its gross I only use it when I run out of teflon tape cause it even seals worse or at least I think so

i wasted 50 bucks on that. i used on to assemble a new gun and 2 days l8er everything was breaking on it. Do Not Use It!
50 bucks? here its only SGD 8 for a 500ml tube. Ok, understood.So the primer sofetns the surface of the pipe so it can better fit together. Wouldn't a layer of cement cover up any other leaks if the pipes and joints didn't fit properly?

i cut like 5 lawns every week. thats like $100 a week. i could care less
Mate get your self a rubber mallet so you can tap everything together and you should have i tite seal as most PVC parts adapt to each other so its a sealed join. just make sure your tapping things together befor the glue drys!! other wise it aint going to happen any time soon!
