Shownomercy has probably the soundest plan.Look to your state's(if you're in the US)DNR office. They have a hunting education course that goes over all things relating to firearms and proper use.Even if you don't hunt I'd highly recommend you take the course. The course was designed to take people who know very little about firearms and give them an in depth safety course and basics on animal conservation.Your parents would most likely feel much safer getting you a gun after passing the course.Good luck rl93.

The volkswagen thing. What a ugly piece of junk.Makes me wish I'd a bought one. Those ugly buggers are going for 12 grand these days.Even in junk condition.
Don't even get me started on the mid 70's rabbit  Or the bus,oh man my dad almost bought one recently just to mess around with.I told him I refuse to have a hippi mobile on the premises.Only true vehicles for this family.

Oh ya and take a look at nanni/steyr diesel engines and Steyr rifles.Amazing works of engineering. My dad went to Germany for a marine service expo on the nanni/steyr engine.I've got to say a beautiful and functional engine. The rifles are also amazing...if you have the money

Mate that is one fine fire arm!!
Got a .762 with a very simular stock!
and may I enquire as to what make and modle is it? I have a throt as to your weopon was possably manafactured by the same smith as my hunting riffel?
Also have you had repairs or modifications to you trigger mechanisum? Intreged as your fittings seem to be in black and your trigger is gold?
Verry nice finish over all it seems you take good care of it and maintain it offtern!

Hell, even Hitler was Austrian, who's counting :)

With this sort of performance: "It fires 20 gram (308 grains) tungsten dart (fleschette) with muzzle velocity of 1450 meters per second (4750 fps). At 1000 meters this projectile will penetrate a 40 mm of RHA (rollded homogenous steel armour) and will result in serious secondary fragmentation effect behind the armour. That said, it will penetrate two walls of any modern APC at one kilometer range. The trajectory is very flat and does not rise higher than 800 mm above the line of sight when fired to 1000 meters." - it can be as ugly as it likes :)

It's a Weihrauch HW97K, the trigger is gold anodised alloy and comes like that as standard.

They also make some nice powder burning rifles, maybe yours is one of them?

Damn i coulda swore i had that one pegged! Mines a remington special with a X200 scope can take the back of the head out of a wild pig at over a mile!
Tough as nuts trigger mechanisum then! thats just what you need in a riffel like that! Thats a keeper they'll be prying that one out of your hands when your stone cold or bury you with it!

Bubba I have never fired a more deadly hunting rifle than a sporterized 8mm Mauser. My Dad and I built a pair out of $39 turkish surplus rifles. That is one wonderful caliber. When it hits, it puts a tunnel. The entrance and the exit are almost exactly the same diameter(roughly 3/4") and you can see from one side to the other after hitting a deer.It is beautiful. The only thing is the trigger is a piece of crap.

I use a handgun for hogs(.44 special,2" barrel) talk about a handcannon :D
Good to hear of another pig killer.Pigs are my favorite quarry to kill,I even help out a guide friend of ours.

Mate when it comes to stopping power nothing beats a .44 hand cannon!
It's a load a sh@t the mythbusters saying you dont get thrown by a bullet hitting you! I have seen wild horses picked up and thrown at least 5 meters after a good shot from a hi powered hunting riffle! namely mine  and i've had a bit of experiance with the Mauser and boy dose that lil bastard kick like a mule! same as me .308!
I hate bloody pigs mate they do nothing but stuff up the bush over here, So when the call goes out I'm more than willing to get the scope on and get one in my sights! Good to hear ya nail the mongrel things!

i still say geting a 40mm grenade launcher and hunting with it would be cool............ but, people dont eat deer fragments......

sadly, the most powerful gun ive ever shot is my dart rifle...... it has a modded sprinkler valve........ its nice and accurate though, and i bet you could hunt with it, just gotta place the shot well.

I've hurd storys about an acedent down at a millatery fireing range over here in Australia? The decription of a grenade launcher hitting a kangeroo is as follows. "A red smear on the ground with chunks."
Sounds like fun right?
