It wasn't working cause the piston was put back in wrong, but I fixed that. My friend got the gun for free because it was his brothers. His brother went off to the Marines, and gave it to my friend. My friend doesn't ever have time to play airsoft, he didn't have any money to fix it because his family isn't very well to do. If he needs it I will just let him borrow it. But it did cost like $70 for me to fix because there were a few missing parts.

I spent $80 on my brand new AEG. (clearance sale on Airsplat a while back)
It has a metal gearbox that puts out 15-16 RPS @ 400 FPS, and it has adjustable hop up and a 350 round magazine. It's a G3A3 style rifle BTW.
Summer Projects:
CO2 tank hybrid: Gotta fix the meter :(
Cane gun: Needs a pilot/fill setup
1.5" piston valve gun: Almost done

Yeah this is slightly necro.

AEGs don't have a speed controller you fucktard. They are just battery > switch (trigger) > motor. Rinse and repeat.

It annoys me the amount of misinformation that goes on here just having a browse through.

ummm, i know im not a mod, but refrian from swearing. and yes, there are AEG's with speed controllers:

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=2104

sure, its not exact, but all systema training weapons monitor the ROF and make sure its the exact ROF as the real-steel M4.

of course, those are 1,500 bucks. most AEG's do not have them. these do. therefore, it is not mis-information............
