I only got a B in GCSE French, which I did 3 years ago, and haven't gone to any pains to keep in practise. Who needs to when you can just shout slowly and loudly while gesturing? (By the way, I'm kidding... I at least try to make sure that when going abroad that I know enough of the language to be able to apologise for not knowing any more.)
