The set is 7, 6, 5 4 and 3mm diameter. Length is 110mm, so it's not going to be useful for a spiral tube,
That should not pose any problems! Just slide the "bender" on the tube as you progress on its length.

Another option is to slide the preformed spiral tube onto the proper sized tubular shape to prevent kinking and then proceed with the above stated step.

Hopefully this is cleary understood. If not, I can clarify it more! :)

if I can only bend short sections...
You probably need to cut holes in the tubing at the detent
Yes, as previously discussed.

Can you see the flared ends? You can't really slide it up the tube... unless there's something I'm not getting.

Here's a fanciful idea of what I would have in mind as a finished project, something like the Magpul PDR:

The flared end of the bender has to be facing toward the staight side of the tube, not on the formed end.

I would make a drawing but it would take to much time.
If I had exact dimensions of benders and the radius of how tight the bender can be wound, I could create a real model.

Yes I had a DAA on that statement! (DAA = dumb ass attack)

I was thinking external rather than internal!

No no you were right, they *are* meant to be used externally!

The problem now is that the largest one is for 3/16" O/D, and the pipe I wanted to use them for is 1/4" O/D

Here is a how to link:

Wait - 7mm is more than 1/4". If there's supposed to be a 7mm one in the set... ?
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

The DAA was purely mine when I ordered them :-/

I said 7mm measuring the o/d of the spring assuming they were internal ones

According to Duane's (useful, cheers!) link, internal ones are tapered and have eyes for being pulled through, which makes perfect sense.

Ah well, I wil lcertainly find a use for these, just have to but bigger ones.

I got all of them for 4$ :D (yeah I know I told it at least 400 times)
try ebay - if you're lucky you can find them for a couple of bucks
what the model is
99% of valves have a symbol and something written on them. Zoom in the pic and google everything you think might be the part number

The symbols are also very important - read this boring thread -> http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/directi ... 20438.html
how much it costs
70 euro (IIRC)
though you can get them a lot cheaper off ebay if you're lucky and persistent
