Looks pretty good. Just one thing: Leave the valves closed when you're done shooting. Bad things involving leaking propane and huge fireballs have occured.
Still. Propane likes to ignite very unexpectedly.
iPaintball, you should. It's not very hard, as long as you pay attention to what you're doing. Boogieman said, "If you mess up on a pneumatic or a combustion, you're out a few bucks. If you mess up on a hybrid, you're dead." That was back when everyone made PVC hybrids, which have blown up randomly, when using not that high of mixes. Make it out of steel and you're fine, because it takes a hell of a lot of pressure to blow steel pipe.
it sure does take alot off pressure the guy at the place where i baught the pipe stated a 1300psi working pressure of the pipe.....im more than happy with that!
Don't trust a guy at a hardware store to tell you what the pipe is rated to. Standard 2" sch40 steel will be very dangerous at 1300psi if it is threaded. That being said, you are perfectly safe with the pressures you're generating now.
So, what kind of barrel and ignition do you have? What I can see looks well made, but you should post a few specs and maybe a description.
Good job.
(Ipaintball: Yes, try building a hybrid. If you ask/shop around you can make a fairly good one for relatively little money. The most expensive part for me was the propane meter, so I made my meter adaptable.)
That's funny noname. I quoted thte same BoogieMan saying when I was trying to tell the user a while back not to build a hybrid without experience. Reson being was that he said he had no experience with spud guns, didn't even know how hybrids worked, and wanted to build one. It was a thread that got deleted.
Summer Projects:
CO2 tank hybrid: Gotta fix the meter
Cane gun: Needs a pilot/fill setup
1.5" piston valve gun: Almost done

it wasnt a hardwar store....it was a pipe center trade counter, they notmaly sell to the trade....they only sell steel pipe and fitttings....and all the fittings for this ARE rated for that pressure.....he asked me iff i didnt mind paying extra for a higher rating.....i spent £75 on fittings(150 dollars)
