How expensive can those materials be? You don't need a machine shop.

You'll probably need a decent piston for your springer so have a look here: http://www.fixatap.com.au/store.jsp?ite ... w_product0

You will also need 13mm pipe or there abouts. Depending on where you live.
I also recommend shooting pellets for air pistols and air rifle slugs. They will do one hell of a lot more damage than a bb.

.

Unless you're talking about heavyweight pellets fired at high velocity, I'd tend to disagree. Steel BBs are lighter than lead pellets, but they travel faster and are harder so tend to penetrate more. Lead BBs are usually the same weight as a medium pellet in the calibre in question, but due to their more compact construction also tend to penetrate more.

I'm talking about Competition Air Pistol Pellets.

I don't know where the tin is but I'm sure they are made in the UK somewhere.

I'll have a look. they are perfect.

I've also shot them out of my Tokyo Marui glock Airsoft gun and they do one hell of a lot of damage more than bb's.

If you're talking about lead pellets compared to plastic BBs then of course yes, lead is much more destructive.

i am actually working on a springer gun. the only problem is the serious amounts of stresses involved with the garadge door springs im using shattering galvanized steel pipe..... as well as the fact that i cant seem to get a trigger mechanism that can hold back enough force to get a good velocity.

basically, its a great idea, but save it for airsoft pellets, the preformance you will get from other ammunition is negligeble unless you can machine things out of stainless steel, and in that case it would be cheaper to go out and buy one.
