How about lets get it so that we know for sure that it is going to exist. But what i would have to say is that no one will really notice a sticky, i would say something different, something that will catch attention. We need to make sure that they can see that this needs to be read. I was only saying to make it like terms and conditions thing because first of you, you are agreeing, as you enter the website, that you will follow these procedures for safe spuddin. So when they agree to enter the website, we are not liable for any damage done to themselves or others. But i think making it to somekind of ruling would be easier and more efficient. but i still say that it needs to be:

A. Noticable
B. Full Proof and thorough
C. Understandable, no big words or anything a 5th grader cant understand
D.... cant thing of anything yet, but you get my point

Anytime when grinding on PVC, aluminum, etc, be sure to wear safety goggles (I recently acquired a piece of PVC in my left eye. I couldn't wash it out and it hurt like hell. The bill was not pretty, either).

in addition to safety goggles, you should wear some type of respirator, even if it is only one of those wimpy paper ones. Wood, plastic, metal, and just about all substances, when they get in your lungs are truly evil. When ever grinding anything, do not inhale through anything but a filter.

Two problems with this idea. I don't mean to shut it down but...

We already have too many sections, we need to wait till the new update for the sub forum feature.

How many people are going to see it? New members hardly see the wiki, how-to section, search feature and sometimes even the showcase section, they don't know what they're are looking for so they don't try.(generalization)

Most people get instructions on how to make their first cannons of freelance websites that are the top results in google, they want plans and that's it, they don't bother searching forums like this one. By the time they see the safety section on here they usually already have made a cannon with DWV.

I don't mean to shut the idea down, because some stuff you are saying is good, like getting more in-depth in safety for the newer members here who have already built a cannon but want to take it further.

I think it's best if it's just a sticky or a wiki article, then you can elaborate more and start splitting the article or thread into a pneumatic section, combustion, hybrid etc.

It's good that you guys are thinking for the better of spudfiles and it's members, keep the ideas coming, i'm sure PCGUY appreciates them.

Always use a fine tooth blade when cutting pvc with a chop saw. Common sense really, but sometimes you might forget and the end result is a shredded pipe with shards stuck into things.

Why don't we all just put links to this site on all of our own websites, and link to it whenever possible on other forums and sites, so that it gets a higher Google rating?
