i think it is the law in the us that anything that supresses the gun ever 1db is illegal and you have to have a liscense to have it, although i'm from the uk i'm just going by what other people have said.

Silencers are not legal in the US anywhere without a special license from the ATF or otherwise called the BATF. You do not have this license. So don't call it a silencer... In fact Claifornia does not even have a provision for you to apply to get one.

Call it what it is: It is extraneous plastic plumbing supplies attached to a spud gun. :D

or you could disguise it by making it a full barrel length silencer, even if you block of most of it you could just say its a shroud for looks.

You could make a full sized barrel shroud that allmost completely blocks the sound and the have a huge speaker make the BANG sound.

Anyway, enough derailing if you want cheap easy to make baffles, get one of those huge circular drill addons.

I made a huge silencer for my 12.7mm combustion today! IT IS THE NUTS

One problem, it knocks off about 40% muzzle velocity
It's only use would be point blank (questionable action) shots
It's made out of clear acrylic, want pics?

if it's "huge" as in "very long", then that's to be expected

You mean like the Welrod :D

how big is huge? and how big are your vents in the barrel? maybe i will make my silencer smaller if it will affect performance too much...

It is 50mm id and approx 460mm long, It has two vents at the start of the unit and six at the end that are packed with staino wool. They are 8mm dia drilled into aluminium. The reason it works so well i think is that it starts to vent very early on, but perfomance is sacrificed.
