New Idea on pellet rifle

yes, in sgort87's thread he said he got it there and even gives the part number. I'm just waiting till I find some suitable barrel pipe before I start.

Im currently in the process of making a really nice looking stealth balck sniper rifle. I have a scope, body, stock.

All i need is a barrel, valve and chamber.

I was thinking of a spring loaded ballvalve.(I already have a spring)

Since I dont have the time/money 4 a sprinkler valve.

A modded sprinkler valve can be done for as little as $20, and is more accurate than a sprung ball valve because there is no extra 'jerk' as it is fired, not to mention that a sprinkler just plain opens faster(unless you have an unknown God-Spring that opens itat the speed of light

).

If your making a pellet rifle go to auto parts store and get your barrels. For a 22 caliber I used a 1/4 brakeline. Worked good. Thanks good luck Chuck

.22= 1/4 brakline

6mm= ?

i was just wondering how many people were actualling entering this comp and what you guys are all building, i'm building a steyr elite/scout tactical pellet rifle which will have a 6mm bore but i will mod the pellets to fit, it will have a wooden stock and be completely awesome, it should get a .43g bb to 900fps with ease and hopefully have awesome range.

yes I am planning on making my rifle, I just have to do it

I also plan on making full replica acap, with wood stock, outer barrel shell, and full trigger system, but we'll see how it turns out if/when I do it.

hey quick question, does anyone know anything about running high pressure through a hose clamp temporarily? The piece of pipe I want to use for the barrel of my rifle isn't threaded at all, and I was thinking maybe I could use a couple of hose clamps to secure a thick rubber hose to the pipe and then run the hose to my valve. This would (it seems to me) be the most convenient, because my valve is going to be directly beneath the barrel, with about 2-3 inches of space between. Would this work do you think? since the high pressure won't be held in the rubber hose, just channeled through it?

If not, then My other option is to get out the sand paper or file and rough up the end of the pipe and epoxy a threaded fitting on and work from there. Either way That end of the pipe should be covered so it doesn't matter to much how it looks, although I do want to keep it all as neat as possible.

could you not use a compression fitting? if not then i think epoxy is the best option.
