This is my 2nd pneumatic gun with 1/2" barrel and pressure chamber, and I made it out of left over PVC in my closet thats why the pressure chamber isn't any bigger than the barrel.
Everything is pressure rated and can fire these darts designed by http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/how-to- ... t6587.html
up to 100 PSI, and they fly perfectly straight. Sorry about the bad gluing job and I'm too lazy to paint. The taping on the end is a piece of PVC wedged in there to support it from bending and cracking Tell me what you think.

Welcome to SpudFiles.

For a "spare parts" gun, not bad at all. Ball valve pneumatics are about as basic as they get, and a pressure gauge would be a nice touch, but again, for a spare parts gun, good job.

Hope you stick around and post some more sophisticated cannons :)

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

I don't know a thing about pistons and i wanted to keep this thing cheap, yea ball valves are inefficient but i guess it's fine for a little thing like this. I don't know too much about alternative valves and my bike pump has a pressure gauge, (just 4 pumps for 100 PSI)

yea but once you learn how to make pistons, you see how easy and cheap they can be to make. But nice for a "man im bored" job 8)

Nice. I can't say that I have ever seen black primer before. Where did you get it?

It might just be the lighting, and some glue that got put on a little far up, but the primer is purpul

Sweet spare part gun, it doesn't look as ghetto as most, and it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

You could also make darts out of wire nuts...(for the fights) Just find the right size wire nut for your barrel or close to it ...you can widen the end of the wire nut with a littel heat..than epoxy a nail or some kind of wire through the tip...I like to use spring steel (music wire) for the shaft..You could also use spokes from old bike rims.....
