My Fish Killer was a fun gun, but it was quite bulky for something that only shot .40 blowgun darts.

So a couple weeks ago I sought out to improve upon it. I originally intended to make a coaxial because they're the low profile, but I wanted to maintain the quick-disconnect breech that I had on my first gun. In order to do so, I decided to make a coaxial chamber (1.5" x 1/2" sch 80) with a tee so that I could branch 3/4" pipe out from it, use a couple elbows, and bring my QEV behind the chamber with the output port in line with it. My blowgun barrel (taken from my original gun) would then slide within the 1/2" sch 80 inner pipe and connect to my QEV via quick-disconnect. This would make for fast and easy breech loading while keeping the gun as low profile as possible.

Here's how it all worked out (unfinished):

I thought my idea was genious. It almost reminded me of a Klein Bottle. Then I remembered seeing something on here before that was very similar- The Bergles Cannon. Oh well, it's still cool!

All that I have to now is find the pistol grip blowgun I used on my other gun and this one's finished.

I'm thinking now that the 11" of 3/4" pipe connecting my QEV to the chamber might be somewhat of a restriction. No big deal though... I sort of had to make that long to give my barrel room to slide forward to accomodate 4" wire darts. I couldn't downsize anything either without sacrificing the quick disconnect or creating a weak spot where I epoxied the barrel to the male fitting.
Enjoy.

wow, looks great. Doesnt the coaxial chamber make it hard to sight down the barrel?

looks cool like it a lot.
never seen a qev that big
also if you can explain this to me im not good with coaxils

if your sliding the barrel all the way through the chamer how does it seal the air out if you can move it seems to me if you used o rings to seal the chaber they would blow out if charged up

the blowgun isnt sealing the chamber. its sliding in a 1/2 pipe thats sealing the chamber

That's it.

Unfortunately I f'ed up a little. I measure the pipes wrong and ended up with the 1/2" being too short. It's fully glued into one socket but at the other end it comes short about a quarter of an inch. Shouldn't hurt anything...I hope...

you do realize that to make the barrel/chamer ration 1/1 all you need is like 6 inches of 1 inch pipe...........

and btw, can i get any tests on stun dart vs target dart accuracy?

Why don't you just try for yourself? If you already have a blowgun just use lung powerand do some comparisons.

And why are you even using stun darts? Sharp flying objects are much more fun!

cleanly and neatly done, I like it, and I bet that spits out blowgun stingers at a fair rate of knots so penetration tests please :)
