Maybe Dual chambers connecting to one shaft for more bounce?
I'll be making one of these when I get the funds.

Cwazy, remember "hybrid pogo stick" HAHA ( like the pogo sticks on here except just an added spring for extra bounce)

That is so going in my sig.

I was just kidding, it was a subliminal way of saying that that sounded wrong.

I've never heard of polycarbonate tubing being pressure rated, and there are no real fittings for it. It's one of those materials where all the parts need to be custom in one way or another.

Polycarbonate is however, very impact resistant, and cheaper clear than opaque. But getting it in the sizes you need could get kind of expensive and difficult.

If you want a real hybrid pogo stick, make it with a strong steel chamber, and a long stroke, and put in a 10x oxy/hydrogen mix. Then just jump off a roof or something. Presto! Instant carnage. Give to little brother, and stand well back...

But seriously, with some $$$$, some sophisticated machining facilities, and a few weeks of R&D, I could build a full auto, self reloading oxy hydrogen pogo stick with a built in power supply and two backpack tanks that could launch the user 10 meters on each bounce, with at least 50% chance of survival...

And homedepotpro, someone needs to sig that.

HD, if you're really planning to find better pipe and such, why not find some large diameter alum?

well what do you think the pressure rating for that is. also aluminum is expensive.

lol thats like instand death.
Well, it's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at that bottom. So really, it would be more like several seconds of shock, terror, and screaming, followed by instant death. Either way, something that you dare someone else to do, and then whip out the goggles and hearing protection.

well for fairly thin wall alum, (1-3mm) i've tested it to 150psi with no real problems, and so with a 3" piece with walls that are like 5mm thick, that would be really strong, almost like the vurtego one.

a poly carb pipe, thats the same wall thickness as sch40, i would imagine would have about, if not under the rating of 3" sch40 pw rated pipe. i would be fairly hesitant with it.

Once upon a time there was a gasoline powered pogo stick. It was basically a two stroke engine built into pogo stick form. Which I think would qualify as a hybrid pogo stick.

I believe it had a tendency to cause back problems. I'm sure there is no way that would have made it to the market in nowadays.

lol that is most likely poly carb. but im not 100% sure because those clear ones were a prototype. let me see if i can find a video for you because it tells you alot about the progress of the vurtego.

so they say their most current design is made of an alloy of poly carbonate.

Polycarbonate would have no troubles accepting pogo pressure at all, i have tried to smash the tube with a sledge hammer- no effect. It is super strong stuff.
