JSR I think BtB built the valve you need
BtB what is the ID of the barrel? some more specs would be nice too...

I love how you managed to turn something so complex (think about it from an outsiders point of view) into something that actually looks like a gun.
Are you planning on encasing the back parts in a stock or leaving the "guts" exposed? would look cool either way
We all know what a 5 year old looks like; you don't have to draw us a diagram
/sarcasm

Btw, I already have a 5 year old son. Will work on a diagram later..THanks for all the replies!

MUAHAHAHA!!
Funny stuff..
I have a welding bottle full of CO2...1/8 threads on it and not meant to be refilled ( disposable..duh..)
I made a valve for it ( srews open the poppet valve on top of the tank...long story)
I now have CO2 via short remote slapped on the side of the gun ( paintball tank will still be filled later, looks and handles way better)
Anyway..I was pretty scared and due to the fact it is late in the evening here I only tried two seperate shots. Same result as yesterday, only scarier..( I set everything to minimum flow and wasn't sure about ROF)
At higher flow I'll most likely get a nice pop-pop-pop-pop.
Too many factors involved to guess ROF ( flow, freeze etc)
Tomorrow I'l try dry firing it full auto to get an idea.
Dry fires are even more noisy'.
I've shot every marble to shreds except two so I'll have to get me some ammo too!
Oh..and here is the diagram

Okay..I need to answer some questions now..
barrel diameter is 16 mm ( alumimium tube - 20 mm outside)
operating pressure is 20 bar
Guts will stay exposed, although I might add a buttplate later ( when I feel like it)
I have removed the picture of the snapvalve, because I'm planning to start a small "custom shop" and this will be one of the products I plan to offer.I plan to sell QEV's ( not available otherwise in Holland), Pressure rated PVC, custom made 2" Piston valves ( 25 bar)
No complete cannons, just the parts nobody can get hold of or is unable to build themselves.I also want to give advise.I think I'm pretty much the authority on spudguns in holland, and I have made and tested every kind of pneumatic one can imagine, so I'm kinda done.
Time for the next step
To help give this a chance:
I want to ask all who know how to make one to keep details to yourself.
You have my permission to build and use your own as long as you keep the insides a secret

Very nice, looks like something someone could build without expensive tools.
And the performance speaks for itself, could come in handy.
Thanks
P.S, JSR, Galfisk and you really need to meet up sometime, a weekend later we'd have one helluva cannon

I cut the rubber piston out by sharpening a piece of tube ( the same kind it's now housed in) and pushing that through using the vice as a press.
The rubber is thick neoprene

First of all LOLOL at the 5 year old diagram
Secondly, also glad that your design is pretty much identical to mine in concept (though from what I can tell, this is pretty much how pop-off valves work, hard to have an original idea these days ). The question now is, do I use it to pilot a piston valve as you have done, or as the main valve for a blow forward breech?

hopefully not too fast to allow a new round into the breech...The bolt now feeds faster than the eye can see
We'd make a great team on scrapheap challenge, methinksP.S, JSR, Galfisk and you really need to meet up sometime, a weekend later we'd have one helluva cannon

safety valves are not specifically made to pop as hard as possible. It's a small difference, but a very important one.
The time limit would be a problem..
You know how long it would take for us to create a 5 year old son?!?!?!?

At least 5 years, and I won't be attempting to create a son with you (or any other member of my gender), though the result would look like a human version of this lololBrian the brain wrote:You know how long it would take for us to create a 5 year old son?!?!?!?

Seriously speaking, you would make one helluva scrapheap challenge team.
@US spudders
Scrapheap challenge = Junkwars' better half.
5 years to raise the child to the age of 5, 9 months for pregnancy and 30 seconds for...er... umm yeah that thing...POLAND_SPUD wrote:5 years 9 months and 30 seconds....?

you should ask JSR he would tell you how to improve that maybe some epoxying your ......... would help or an o-ring.....
