Why?
I don't think you grasp the concept of piston valves very well.
All you are doing with having the QEV there is limiting flow, having more dead space, and wasting $25.
Why would you have a QEV infront of a piston valve?
Oh and when you trigger the piston valve you will be sending alot of air pressure, fast, into the input of a QEV, which wont do it any good, and then all the air will eventually go out the pilot valve from the piston valve and the QEV wont actuate and all your air is gone and nothing has happened.
Explain please.

No. I don't think it would. In a QEV the pilot pressure has to decrease to be less than the chamber pressure, and in this design they would decrease at the same rate. Just don't attach the chamber to the pilot.
There is a great picture and description of how a QEV works in the Wiki link at the top of the page. However, the wiki is currently down, so wit a bit, then search "QEV" there.
Edit: MrCrowly, there is no piston valve in his design. There is a QEV, and a barrel.
Also, search for QEV cannons in the search link below the "cannons" button, or just browse pneumatics.

It seems to me like you're just trying to incorporate excess parts
Using the QEV to pilot a larger piston valve is the only way that you're going to use both in one simple design.

Ah yes there is, notice the words saying "2" barrel sealing tee".Hailfire753 wrote:No. I don't think it would. In a QEV the pilot pressure has to decrease to be less than the chamber pressure, and in this design they would decrease at the same rate. Just don't attach the chamber to the pilot.

And he said he was incorperating a piston valve and QEV into his design.

lol, i meant BOARD
keep it up! - we can see you're really trying to learn.
p.s. lol i just have to ask (j/k here) - did you name the JPG "newdesign_137"? and if so, that wasn't your 137th sketch, was it?! it occurred to me that if so, that's dedication!
[edit, added:]
p.p.s. where have you used qev's before? paintball?
p.p.p.s. i don't think it's an problem 'cause you're obviously new to alot of this, but i think this discussion area, "Pneumatic Cannon Showcase", is for generally for constructed projects... questions are better off posted in the "Pnaumatic Cannon Discussion" area... not tryin' to tell you what to do, 'cause i'm new here too, just trying to help.

If you were to research first, then we'd be happy to help.
