Remember, your not going to have to much momentum on the forward stroke as it’s proportional to how fast you fill the chamber, which will be slow due to the fill valve.
I don't think you're understanding the "pop-off" idea - the forward stroke will always be the same, because the bolt will only start to move once you reach a certain pressure in the chamber. It doesn't matter at all how fast you fill it.

True, sorry just a tad on the tired side, I knew that I just forgot when I posted…
Still, it may just stop as I’ve explained.
I feel it’ll either work but at a high ROF or be to slow and get stuck.

This is what I hate about air arms, valves; either to fast, to complex, or to slow…
Pre-charged cartridges seems the way to go, that or… the black powder loophole (can’t go in to that here).
Call me "Judge", it's easier to type.

Thanks to the pop-off, rate of fire is irrelevant to whether it works or not. The question is, will the bolt gather enough momentum to keep moving and overcome the increasing spring strength, I think your concerns do have some merit - but there's only one way to find out and I'm on the way :)
Pre-charged cartridges seems the way to go
Ultimately, I still think this is the solution and one which I hope to eventually fabricate.

me too buddy..

I tried out another disapointing design, wich in theory should work, but in real life fails horribly...again..due to friction this time.

Same principle as Clide did in the last competition, wich accidentily turned his golfball cannon full auto, but with the trigger replaced by a snapvalve like piston...

Maybe I´m just too tired to get it right..

Believe me, I know the feeling. Time to make a reliably single shot which I know will work to keep my psirits up :)

Hey guys, good ideas going on here. I just wanted to post and let everyone know I'm not dead...yet. I've been working on finishing out the workshop, and also just got done selling a business. I hope that in the next few weeks/months I can get back to playing a bit, and I've accumulated much more in the way of machinery to hopefully fulfill some of the many prototypes proposed.

I'll stay out of pocket for a while, but constant pressure full auto rate of fire is still alive in my head!!'

Good to hear Scott, with enough brains hammering away at this nut we might eventually crack it :)
