Is it alright if i use a co2 cartridge as a hybrid chamber, seeing that it its made to hold pressure, but just want to know if its safe.

does the co2 cartridge say NSF-PW on it? haha just kidding... I would assume it would be safe considering they can hold up to 2000PSI I believe...
D_hall is right about the ratings, and a co2 tank has been used before as a hybrid chamber. Frankrede made one a while back, check it out...

What they were referring to...since they are pressure rated vessel you could potentially make a nice hybrid from them...
I'm now thinking of using a 20oz...the trick would be getting the brass top off the container as they are usually held on with locktite and I'm not one for heating the container up. As it will probably compromise the integrity

Nah, they come right off with a bit of torque. I've ripped 'em apart (and put 'em back together) many many times.Jared Haehnel wrote:I'm now thinking of using a 20oz...the trick would be getting the brass top off the container as they are usually held on with locktite and I'm not one for heating the container up. Well, I just happened to have one here on which the fitting is hand tight. Mind you, this particular fitting is a custom job by a crappy machinist (IE, several years ago I personally machined it) so the dimensions may not be *perfect*, but....

You could buy a carbon fiber paintball tank. I used to play tournament paintball and our tanks held 3000-4500 psi of compressed air.
