Hey everybody, Ive been working on a semi auto hammer valve for a while and got frustrated with motors and gears. Then i thought, " I'm thirsty" but then I thought "Hey, why not use a solenoid to whack the valve open?". witch leads me to this post.
Whtch one of these 'noids do you think would be sufficient to open a a popet with a surface area of .33 at up to 300 psi? I need it to be the "push" variety.
Another related question:Does anybody have any experience with this site (i know, the army dude), and how long did shipping take? sorry for the babble-age.

ok, since nobody seems to know or care about my initial question ill ask one that is more broad. Is it even plausible to actuate a poppet with such pressure behind it with a (available) solenoid?

Mind explaining what a poppet is? Can't say I've ever heard of one, but I could just not be thinking tonight..

barely, bet the price of such a solenoid would be huge, if you got it it would probably have to be actuated by a capacitor, and not matter what you'll probably have to plug this thing into the wall socket
