Never read any McNab, I got a stack of free Clancy as high as my ceiling, and that has more than filled my appetite for military fiction. Of course variety is the spice of life, and I would like a change of pace, so I may pick some up if it comes recommended.

I'm in the exact opposite situation...McNab books galore, but would like to pick up a Clancy sometime.BC Pneumatics wrote:Never read any McNab, I got a stack of free Clancy as high as my ceiling, and that has more than filled my appetite for military fiction. BTW - If you ever get 'round to a McNab, start with 'Remote Control'.

Hmm... this has turned out interesting. I've been gone off the face of the earth for a while and I came back to hear about this set of events.
I have to say over all I'm a bit confused. I understand scottcrete had issues with members prior to my leaving but to the point of banning?!? Sort of weird. Well glad you got it all sorted out Crowley. I hate to see any new member banned but from what you all have said I suppose it was well warranted.
Pity... I received no such spam I feel left out...

A damn shame we are not on the same continent. It would be cost effective for us to swap some literature.

Yeah it is, I fork out about $25NZD ($20USD) per McNab book, not fun at all.BC Pneumatics wrote:A damn shame we are not on the same continent. It would be cost effective for us to swap some literature.
@Goat,
Probably because he never saw you active on the forums, doesn't matter, you didn't miss much

Hmmmm... this is certainly an interesting turn of affairs.
I left for Florida before all of this started happening, and all I saw were threads defending scottcrete from criticism. Now I come back, and there's this.
I never got a PM, and I'm glad. I generally tried to stay away from scottcrete's posts, but did support him under fire and added a few tips for him in some of his project threads. Towards the end there, I pretty much started ignoring posts of his. It was not a conscious decision, I just skip over posts with boring titles or, in this case, users who have marked themselves as "annoying and repetitive".
Looking at his site, though, I'm surprised at the blatant copyright violation. If I were SpudBlaster15 or anybody else who had their topics over here copied onto his web site, I would personally be pissed.

He copied posts??
Any of mine??
I wouldn't mind him coming back here if he got his act together.
As a builder he was more than allright.

I was onto this guy straight away... ever since he was whining about not being made a mod after one week or something of membership... I thought hello this guys gunna be trouble, he had some cool army pics, but what was with his videos? half of em was just him clicking a BBQ sparker or shooting a T-Shirt at a wall set to gay music...I thought it was some kind of glitch that he had so many posts in so little time, but turns out hes just a spammer craving some kind of authority so much so, that he had to start his own dodgy forum.

ekhm I don't remember any posts criticising him...
I've seen some of his videos and I got the impression that he looked as if he had been drinking a lot - I have no idea is it just my impression or has someone else noticed that (hey I am a pole so I know something about drinking )
I don't have anything against him personaly I even like him and i feel pity for him but such behaviour can't be tolerated just because someone has some mental problems after returning from iraq... he should seek professional help before it is too late

Thats what i thought to when i saw he had 300 odd post and i only remember seeing any post by him a month or so ago ans sure enough he has only been a member since the 18th of march thats just over a month and he has posted 300+ times thats 10 posts a day (thank you profile ).watto wrote:I thought it was some kind of glitch that he had so many posts in so little time, but turns out hes just a spammer craving some kind of authority so much so, that he had to start his own dodgy forum.
But he did have some cool army pics and i thought he did bring some good builds to the Spudfiles table but after reading this post i am sorta glad i steered away from this train wreck.
Owell once this topic has lost its steam everyone will have moved on with it.
