Here are two cannons that I had built years ago, when I had more ambition than sense, and less paitience than money. (neither amounted to much)

Don't Mess with Texas

This was my first cannon ever built, and it used a ghetto shrader propane meter. Only God knows where that is now. The chamber is 12" of 4" pvc, and 36-40" of 2" barrel. Piezo ignition, and the shoddy barrel knife helped with shooting spuds. Fun to learn on, but not quite a showpiece.

The Carrot Shooter

This has an ungodly cb ratio to start with. 12" of 2" chamber and probably just shy of 2' of 1/2" barrel. Piezo ignition, aerosol propelled. As the name says, carrots were primary ammo. Notice custom faded paintjob. :D

Nothing special, these are just from the past, so please spare me the noob flaming.

I wish I still had my first gun, a PVC spray and pray, 10" of 4" chamber, 10" of 2" "mid" chamber  and 3' of 1" barrel, shooting wooden dowel slugs... back in 1995! I didn't have anything to go on, just a description by my brother-in-law...BBQ ignitor, screw-on cleanout, aquanet hairspray...screw tip spark gap....

Ahhh those were the days....

Anywho...it's nice you still have yours!

Yeah it was cool seeing these things again. Its amazing how much your approach to a project can change in only a few years. It brought back many memories and a few "what the hell was I thinking?" moments. :P

*sigh* the good ole days, when just getting the spud gun to make a noise was enough to chalk up as renowned scientific and engineering progress.

Hard-learned lessons, hollering moms, and nervous neighbors. Come to think of it, no matter how many years go by, some things never change. :)

8)
And a few more emoticons for good measure
