its has more then one use, its mixes the fuel btter, and it airs out the chamber after each shot, it prolly has more uses but thats all i can think of for now
im putting a fan in mine so my spudgun can live in the house. my roommate has bad lungs and he will get sick if he takes in hairspray so im putting the fan in to clean it and make it more tolerable. Also if you use hairspray or axe it will cool down the gun and get all the fumes out quickly so you can shoot the gun faster. back when i dident have a fan i noticed i would get about 3 good shots and then i would start losing range. it was from all the burnt out fumes in the chamber that wernt letting it blow right. once i put in my trusty ol fan it works great
First you use a fan for two things one is to mix fuel inside the chamber and the other purpose is to blow the exhaust out of the cannon so you have nice clean in the chamber for your next shot. You want the fan to the rear of your chamber.

Ya, it will help, but how much it will help depends on the size of your chamber.

The fans dont burn in that chamber, unless there is a fuel residue on the fan that could ignite and burn it.Go to any computer store and ask for one,see if u can get a 2nd hand one for cheap.

do you want the fan to blow into the chamber or suck air away from it (towards the cleanout cap).

What happens when you spray your hairspray into the back? Why doesn't it go all over the fan and burn the hell out of it when you ignite it? I've put about 5 20 pound bags of potato's through my gun already(in 2 weeks haha) and I have never had a problem...
