Well, that's dissapointing... a few years ago, the site told you what it was made of. Unfortunatly, it doesn't anymore...
It's aluminum, temper 6 (aka T6)if I remember correctly.

dude that thing is fu@#ing awesome. how far does it shoot and how much power does it have?

NOTE FROM PIMPMANN22: Yes, I will agree its a awesome cannon, but the builder to my knowledge doesnt even browse this forum. Plus it was posted forever ago and wasnt even posted by the creator. Your question would be better if you asked the creator (Joel). Let me answer your question "how far does it shoot and how much power does it have?", Well it shoots far, and has lots of power. ARG! I hate these posts!

SpudStuff, no we didn't. And I'd apreciate it if, next time, you made your erronous claims in a proper scentence.

I mentioned T6, but not the alloy of alluminum used. WOW went and told us that it's made of an inexpensive medium-quality general purpose alloy; which doesn't really surprise me at all.

Many aluminum frame bikes are made of 6061T6, usually with the main components out of round to provide directional strength.

I'm considering hitting a police bike auction to see if I can pick up a junker or two with round tubes to scavenge for tube stock. I know I'm not going to get that beauty from junk parts but I might be able to build a high-pressure pneumatic with a junkyard aesthetic.

Anybody have any experience with scavenged bikes? Is it worth the trip?

It has come back from the dead. It is sweet. I love the shiny look. The picture is not very good but #@$% who cares. I got a great idea from this. See you later.

I love it.
