OK, so HGDT is a mutation of GGDT. That's why it has the ability to model coaxial hybrids.
But....
I'm investigating an improved combustion model that I believe will make HGDT a better tool. HOWEVER, the new model will make it difficult to model coaxial guns.
So....
Improved model for MOST guns or maintain ability for the rare coaxial?
I'm leaning towards the improved model, but I figured I'd see how many people get their panties in a wad.
Coaxial hybrids: does anybody really do them?
I'm pretty sure that the unnecessarily high heat loss involved has detered anyone that was ever going to make a coaxial hybrid, and I imagine that it will continue to do so.

omg I've never seen a coaxial hybride. nor heard of them...

do the upgrade, but keep the old version in case someone actually does it =)
I believe that coaxial combustions/hybrids are not very effective due to longer flamefront paths ( if you ignite in middle of chamber, the front needs to go around the barrel) and less room to place a fan (not necessary for hybrids though).
Someone using HGDT for designing highly advanced guns, would know that and scrap the coaxial idea. So its not really needed.
If you want to make a coaxial, you are (probably) sacraficing performance and will not really care about that, and thus do not need an accurate HGDT.
When your really going for performance, and thus want to run a few designs as accurately as possible trough HGDT, you are not making a coaxial anyway.
So yeah, do it dave!
