hey guys, for a while now I have been trying to figure out different ways to incorperate a BBMG into a small design. I invented the vortex cap and it was quite effective. But I decided to take a step back into inline vortex's and decided to come up with a design that would allow a large amount of ammo but still have a decent size barrel and not be 16+ inches long.. So I decided to create this compact bullpup.

Image

You might take a quick glance at this and think its a cloud or a vortex with a 1" barrel but the barrel is actually 8 inches long. the overall length of the gun is around 9 1/2 inches long.

As you can see the barrel is housed inside the ammo chamber... the vortex is in the back of the gun and the ammo loaded in the front around the barrel... the spring and plunger both have a center cavity to allow the barrel to be inside.. the plunger simply pushes the bb's around the barrel into the vortex block and back out the way they came.

Barrel length: 8"
Gun Length: 9.5"
BB Capacity:~2000 (its just a guess)
Feeding system: Bullpup Inline Vortex
ROF: 125bb/s
FPS: 370

As you could tell from the above picture there was no blowgun trigger.. I am in the process of building the trigger setup but I took a quick picture of what it may end up looking like:

so yeah just another attempt of me trying something new so tell me what you think.

That's actually pretty cool mate.

Now invent an air supply that's not backpack sized!

Awesome thingy you have there!
Looks very nice.
Building it coaxial style surely cuts down the length.

When will we see it firering?

I can see the poop, but where is the stick? That 1"piece of barrel sticking out?
Thats too short, because if you were holding the poop on a stick that way, your hands may get dirty.

Is there a seal on the plunger ? or just on the cap ?

I started heading that way with my first strafer but never actualy made the plunger system.

I made a new block the other day with an under-barrel tube magazine and the plunger has an O-ring to reduce dead space as the bb's empty.
The bb capacity is much lower though, a few hundred, but air usage is cut down quite alot.

Looking forward to seeing the next developments :)

The problem I can see with a sealing plunger, is that pressure will push it back.

there is room around the plunger.. its tiny but enough for air to get by... so no the plunger does not seal the air...it just pushes the bb's into the vortex block like any other inline... it just slides over the barrel.

and yes ant I can hook up mobile air to it like all of my guns..

UPDATE:

So I did a quick mockup on attaching this gun to my FN2000 as sort of a grenade launcher attachment.

so here is a pic:
