How to further mod a sprinkler
How would I mod this one more?

I have starred at it for years trying to figure it out.

Do exactly what he did, remove the 'noid, drill a new hole for the pilot valve, find out what you have to do to mod the guide rod (there are several ways posted on spudfiles somewhere) and then put it back together.

All you can do is mod the blow gun or upgrade to a better pilot valve.
They're not rated for 175psi, it would probably leak and I wouldn't even want to find out.
High flow? Well you can increase the opening time, but for flow you would have to modify the valve itself which would make it weaker, and defintely not safe at 175psi.

Ah so it is, I didn't even realise.
I just suggest you open your 'noid valve up, and compare the two and improvise a way to do a similar mod. I thought you meant like grinding away at the inside to allow more flow, but then again I didn't even read the topic title.

Hmmm I've really gotta make me one of these. I've checked out a few different sprinkler valves around the place. I've noticed that with different valves, come different valve diamentions. Some have much deeper valve bodies which mean more room for the homemade phram' to shoot up to allow more flow. I'll have a fiddle and see what I can home up with.

In stead of using a blow gun i use a small ball valve, would that work better or give the same performance as the blow gun?
