You know how people always say that you should start spudding with a basic combustion I would like to know what you started with. I started with a bv pneumatic made with dwv abs I know but I am going to turn that into a combustion. But anyway tell me what you started with micro combustions considered basic. I don't think I need to add hybrid but you might surprize me.
You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

I made my pneumatic without coming to sf too.i started with a fully 18 bar rated 2" BV golfball gun that stood 10' tall and had a ratio of 1:1. this was without joing SF first kinda looked at parts
woops double post

Well I also started with a pneumatic, and continue to love them.
It had a 1.5in by 36in chamber, and a 1/2in ball valve with a 1/2in barrel.
Atleast it was pressure rated, but it was quite weak due to the flow constriction.

i started with a REALLY basic combustion.
it had really many lean shots because i used the most thin walled DWV you can think of. i wanted to shoot one shot with it for about a year ago and then it blew apart at the 4"-2" adaptor.
just few days after making the combustion i was hooked and made a ball valve pneumatic.

- A spud gun insurance.

My first gun was actually a large combustion. I haven;t actually put an ignitor in the thick-walled ABS monster yet, because I made it before I found out that it;s illegal in San Joaquin county...
So my first working cannon was a film can cannon =D

It's funny how some people just don't make the easy and go strait to the difficult {quadruple finger curl}. Now how many people were told or read to start out with a basic combustion?

My first was a ball valve pneumatic with DWV, as soon as I learned what DWV was I cut the chamber in half and never built a pressure chamber out of PVC again, I have used steel pipe for all of my chambers since.
It's hard to soar with eagles when you're working with turkeys.
Pneumatic - spring loaded ball valve, no safe parts at all.
I could reel off my build list of... 25 cannons, I think it is now, most pneumatics, but you'd get bored. The majority no longer exist - at anyone time, I seldom have more than 3 working launchers, they tend to get recycled.

Why do so many people manage to misspell that in a way that sounds like it's the name for a low budget "adult film"?basic cumbustion
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?
