this is my first cannon it is made out of SCH 40 pipe, a modded 1 inch sprinkler valve. the bore is .5 inch pvc pipe and the chamber is 3 inch sch 40 pipe. This gun i made with a removable bi-pod and removable silencer. the highest i have shot this at was 120 psi and im trying to go higher on the pressure

Nice gun, but may I ask is that 1/2 inch barrel restricting flow, because 3 inch to 1/2 inch is a HUGE step down, but as to everything else, its very clean and simple.

Thats a REALLY nice pneu you got there! I would have tried something like this for a first cannon but large pressure rated pipe is lacking around here =/
Great paint job btw! *highfive*

Decent pneumatic there, especially for your first effort.
Re. the first pic you posted, it's so out of focus it's basically useless. Take another one in focus...back away a little if you have to to get it. The other pics are fine...thanks for including them.

Not to bad for a first. You mentioned that you want to go higher on the pressure. What is the pressure rating on your sprinkler valve? Certainly the Air chamber can handle more pressure, but the valve might tear if you go too much higher. I have a rainbird cp-100 on my cannon and it's only rated to 150psi. I can't imagine your valve is rated that much higher than what your currently operating it at.

i took one of my other simpler ones up to 160 but that was the only compresser that could handle that
looks great. but that silencer doesn't look very sturdy
nice job for your first though!

oooh sorry i have to take that off
Nice cannon.
The only thing is you shouldve moved the gauge and fill valve back, its better to have them through 2 layers of PVC.

Well, if he used a tap&die set and threaded the holes correctly (using grease) and used Teflon tape, he shouldn't have any problems as far as pipe strength.
But yeah, it always is better to to the 2-layer method. A lot safer.
