Hi all,

I have had this gun built for about a month now just never got the time to post it. It is far from completed but this thread will be updated with each change over time. The only larger bore launcher i had was a 8' tall 2" BV launcher with a 1:1 ratio and a GB barrel. Its no surprise that i was shocked at the power of it from being used to a BV (which wasn't too pussy either). Its specs are as follows.

Valve: 50mm T with 40mm Porting, serviceable with the ability to thread off barrel and chamber.
Chamber: 1m of PN18 50mm (different size chambers to come)
Barrels: 1.2m 40mm GB, 1.3m 50mm, 1.2m TB barrel
Velocity: BLOODY FAST! (dont know how to put a 50mm piston gun in GGDT)
Pilot Valve: 25mm modded sprinkler piloted by blowgun.
Piston: 32mm coupler cut and sanded down filled with hotglue and a chunk of foam with a bolted on neoprene sealing face.

This gun is loads of fun. It can shoot a gb cleanly through 25mm laminated particle board and smash up tvs and CRTs. Attaching the 50mm barrel opens up a whole nother world of projectile possibiltys, baked bean cans being one (damn u watto!). The TB barrel is a fun size for random stuff! lol

Damage will be uploaded when i get the time to get some pics and go shooting.

But now here are some pics.

It is far from done, needs paintjob / scrim and various other things.

Comment and criticise at will!

Very nice man, going off what I think my GGDT results were for the SGA, you should be getting about 175ms with a GB at 110psi.

What size barrel do you use for tennis balls?

Is it 65mm PN12 or something?

Again, nice cannon :P

As hard as i looked for pressure rated 65mm pressure rated i could not find any so i settled with some thick DWV 65mm bolted onto a 40mm threaded fitting wrapped tightly in duct tape lol

The only projectile that i fire out of this barrel that is tight fitting is tennis balls as they are light, no barrel full of water here lol

It looks great, it seems like you will be getting a lot of power from this beast. I also like the suppressor that you made :D

Nice, how well does it work as it is?

I don't know why nobody else is commenting on this beast, they must be speechless

Hey, busy last couple of days for me with clients... :?

Looks solid there Carl. Performance similar I'm sure to the coax GB I built back in Feb....if it is, it's a real stinger for sure. Is there anyway to get us some details on your piston setup. Everything else seems pretty self-explanatory.

Videos always appreciated. Nice job!

Very nice, I like the assortment of barrels, you never can have to many. Is the pilot suppressor really necessary?

Hey guys I wil be off to my block tomorrow to get some damage pics but if you want videos they will have to be done JSR style with no sound as my camera sucks lol

The supressor was pretty effective before but I wanted even more quietness hehe

The pilot supressor works a treat aswell.

Sorry if I missed a q I'm on my phones net, once I get my home net working ill go into my piston setup for you guys.

I love it Carl.

Was great fun when you and Watto brought it up my way. I wish we got some pics of the damage we did to that Grass Tree, But owell maybe when i get my sprinkler working i will be able to take it out there and shoot some stuff and get some damage pics.

And yes my 50mm piston is finally finished but got to mod a ball valve till i fix my Sprinkler valve since it is not sealing. i am hoping to get my sisters camera to get some pics of it to put it on here.

Cant wait for those damage pics Carl even though i have seen first hand what it can do (was AMAZING).

Good work
