I was cruising the internet looking for ideas for projects for my job when I came across this website Geekologie. They found a youtube video of one of the nicer looking cannons we have here and wrote a slight article dissing it.
Its not really that important and I'm not sure why I'm even bothering posting this, but I just found it funny a website called Geekologie is calling others dorks for creating what I at least consider a good work of art... and we do tend to like seeing what kind of press we're getting.

Heres the article:

Sort of a compliment to be talked about badly by those idiots. :)

I wanted to see what type site it was, clicked the robot foot mouse and found this:
(Taken from geekology product description ending): ...for an ion-cannon mouse, but I'm not really feeling it. What I am feeling is my dog's bare a-hole against my arm. It feels kind of gross and cool at the same time.

(Another taken from "Aim around corners.."):
I was going to get one installed on my BB gun until I realized my mom took it away from me for shooting the heads off her terrorist roses. I tried to explain I was protecting the house from flowery insurgents but she slapped me. Hard. It happened so fast it may have actually been a roundhouse kick.
Total idiots there. Guy had the nerve to state that They're for kids whose moms won't let them have real guns. (hypocrite?)
And there's even an add on there for a t-shirt launcher.

Sure I could definately go on and on but enough said for now. It's pretty self explainatory whose the real "dorks". 8)

EDIT: LOL I should e-mail the guy and write since he thinks spudders are dorks he can get back to shagging his dog and getting slapped "hard" LOL by his mother!

My SGA cannon got put on a few similar sites, I don't think it was discussed to that extened though. Quite funny how ironic everything they're saying is.

I really wouldn't take any notice, belonging to a website called geekologie is punishment enough for them.

"If you guys want to see some real powerful spud guns then i suggest you take a look at http://www.spudfiles.com.

They have cannons posted on there that CAN break through 1/4" steel and send a golf ball at a blistering speed of 2400fps (soon to be 3600).

Just take a look round guys :)"

but it said i had posted there too much recently...never been there before in my life wtf

I wonder if they could push their dogs away long enough to make a dwv cannon joined with hot glue. Probably not.

Sounds like a bunch of snot noeses with an umbilical cord to their computer and nothing better to do than to diss others because they are too lazy/uninformed to do anything else with their lives.

the wierd thing is that he calls people who make nice guns like that dorks, but he said, "Potato guns are fine though, because I made one."

just because he can't make something that nice means that anyone who can is a dork.

I actually found it really quite funny to be honest.

I think it should be taken in good humour.
I mean, good for them if they want to think that spudding is for dorks. But then again, so is letting your dog rub it's crack up against your arm. Hahahaha!

Was it really necessary to start a whole thread about the comments of some random basement dwellers? Millions of equally inane comments (and many significantly moreso) are made on the interwebs every day.

Well, I'm not seeing any thing that guy's done to earn my respect, so I think I'm going to mark him down as not worth my time.

That's not a bad cannon he's trying to put down, but I suspect he just dug through Youtube for the video with the lowest demonstration of actual power.

For all his big talk about "wimpy power", I still think he'd be hesitant to actually take a hit from one - I certainly wouldn't want to take a hit from any of my cannons (given that my current project would be able to put a marble straight through both sides of me when I'm done with it).
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

It would be interesting to see how many people I could put a golfball through with my ME20H... These people would make great targets

It certainly would, but can I elect not to be part of that line of people please?

Not at all, but it's been interesting and seems to have given people a few good laughs.
